“Elephants may have big ears, but they listen with their hearts.”

This beautiful quote reflects the emotional intelligence of elephants. They are not only attentive but also empathetic, teaching us the importance of listening deeply and compassionately in our own lives.

Those of you following theOtherEar by hanne will soon become acquainted with The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (SWT), established by british-kenyan naturalist and activist Daphne Sheldrick in 1977. Today, the organization is a global leader in elephant conservation and runs the world's most successful rehabilitation program for orphaned elephants.

Being a 'foster parent' to several elephants in SWT for many years, I am constantly impressed and inspired by SWT's amazing efforts and even more so by these beautiful animals—their behavior and their intellect. Let yourself be inspired by Daphne Sheldrick's words below:
